REMOND-Bennie Oldham of Bremond, died Friday [24 Nov 1995] at a Bryan hospital. He was 77.
Services will be 1 p.m. Monday [27 Nov 1995] at Blair-Stubbs-McCauley Funeral Home Chapel in Franklin, the Rev. Jesse Petty, the Rev. Floyd Peltier and the Rev. Lohen Gonzales officiating. Burial will be at Petteway Cemetery in Petteway, Texas.
Mr. Oldham was born April 6, 1918, in the Petteway community of Robertson County. He had received his education and spent his lifetime in the Petteway community.
He was a rancher and a member of the Herds Prairie Baptist Church where he had been serving as church treasurer. He was a member of the Masonic Bremond Lodge #350 in Bremond, where he had most recently received his 50-year pin.
He married Mary Evelyn Basham on Oct. 29, 1971, in Houston.
Survivors include his wife; three sisters, Ella Mae Bailey, Lillis Bailey and Louise Tolleson, all of Austin; and a brother, Young Oldham of Petteway.
