1639 ca. Mar  Accomacke Co. VA Ouldham James Transcript page 138 – original page 179:  Witness “A True Inventorye of the Goods and Chattles of Thomas Lee according as they are prized”(in pounds of Tobacco) Subscribed James Ouldham; the mark I W of John Webster CVJNote:  This is the first Oldham that I have found in the records of Virginia – and this is the only mention of him in Accomacke County. Lt George Oldham served in the 11th Virginia from Feb 1776 to end of the Rev. War  for which service he received 2666 and 2/3 acres bounty land from VA; 3 Jun 1807.  He returned to Accomacke Co. VA  where his descendants were county clerks for some years.  I am told that he first came to the Eastern Shore from either Northumberland or Richmond Co. VA.  Claim by his heirs for additional land was rejected 19 Jun1834. 6

VA  9 Jan 1811.  This record indicates that William Oldham (1745-1799)was the son of James Oldham of Richmond Co. who died 29 Feb 17__ and his wife Tabitha who died 20 Jan 1747.  Their only other child mentioned was Tabitha Oldham born 12 Jan 1747.  James Oldham married (2) Leannah (surname Unknown) and died testate in Richmond Co.  Richmond co. WB#6 pg. 29  40
