      Hi Wayne,

I just accidentally deleted the message I had type up for you inste ad of sending it. What a morning. I will try to start again. I was wondering if you might have come across anyone named BAGLEY while you were grow ing up or living in St.eng in a death notice and do not know who she is. There is a Census record for 1920 wi th a Laura Hohreiter and daughter Harriet. The Laura would be 36 years old, and born about 1893. Bagley, Harriet E. (nee Hohreiter) 11/26/199 9

I just happened to think of this. I do not remember if I have asked you this before. But thought you may have heard of or know a Bagley.

I think that you are right about Edna and Marie being one in the same persons. I have denoted that in my files, for now at least. All of these Hohreiters must be related in some way. Thanks, so much, for contributing to some of these solu

Did you have a good time in St. Louis. How is your Aunt? I hope that all is well.

I have also put down that they were on Stein St. as I think that is of importance. Didn't you find that, I think it was Paschal and family was living with Emil and family at one time on Stein St.

Thanks again for thinking to pass this along.

      Hi Joanne-
Recall the baptism record for "Maria" Hohreiter at St. Boniface Church - born 2 April 1890 to Valeria Rahier and Emil Hohreiter, and baptized 12 May 1890 - and also an "Edna" Rahier in the 1891 St. Louis Death Register. While I was in St. L
he last couple of days, I checked the death register for Edna Hohreiter. Edna died on 20 January 1891 at the age of 9 months, 15 days from cerebral meningitis at 229 W. Stein Street and was buried at Mt. Olive Cemetery. The funeral was handled by Hoffmeister.

I think Edna and Maria are one and the same unless you have information to the contrary. I don't know of any other Hohreiters who might have had a child then in St. Louis. The age of the child as shown on the death register is only off by a

Frank Rahier, Valeria's brother, lived at various addresses on Stein Street at that time, so the Rahier/Hohreiter family lived in that area. As a result, I think Edna and Maria are the same.

Unfortunately, the death register does not show parents and 1891 is one of the missing years of the Hoffmeister records, so we are out of luck trying to investigate further except for church records. I'll have to check St. Boniface recordsfd a funeral.

      Any thoughts on this? Wayne
