  Notes	Notes of Charles C. Virsts Jr.: Winifred is identified as the daught er of Daniel and Nancy (Oldham) Rector on pg 5 of the book Rector Record s, authored and published by Larry King of Hendersonville, Tennessee. S he is identified as the daughter of Daniel Rector, sister of Conway and Ch arles Rector on pg 132 of Early Records - Hampshire County, Virginia (N ow West Virginia), compiled by Clara M. Sage and Laura S. Jones, publish ed 1969 by Genealogical Publishing , Baltimore, Maryland 1969. The compile rs are descendatns of the Ross family. Birth date is calculated based up on her age and date of death, copied from her grave marker. Mr. King reco rds her birth date as 1760 and the location as Prince William County, Vir ginia. His source is not identified. Marriage to William Ross 1779 is rec orded on pg 7 of Mr. King's book. The location is said to have been Hampsh ire County, Virginia (now West Virginia). Again the source is not cite d. This marriage is also reported in Early Records - Hampshire County, V irginia, cited above. According to the cemetery records below Winifred a nd her husband William Ross, came to Mad River Township around 1798. At t hat time Mad River Twp was part of Greene County, Ohio. Deat date is not ed in the introduction to the list of inscriptions copied in the Rector ( or Gard) Cemetery, published 1988. This is the same date as that on the g rave marker. Burial site is in the Rector Cemetery, Mad River Towship, Cha mpaign County, Ohio. Spelling of given name on headstone is Winnero rd - Winnifred in History of Clark County.
