Vernon was born October 3, 1952 in Muleshoe to his parents, Vernon and Frances Oldham of Muleshoe, TX. Vernon was married in 1972 to Karen Morris. Vernon worked in the oilfield, road construction and farm work. Vernon enjoyed his grand and great-grandchildren, he also loved to aggravate and joke around. Vernon had 3 children, Kimberly Nye and husband Rodney of Rush Springs, Misty Crow and husband Roy, and Cody Oldham and wife Christina of Chickasha. Vernon had 6 grandchildren, Josh Nye, Courtney Nye, Shawnteh Nye, Chelse Nunley, Leyie Crow, Cory Oldham; 2 great-grandchildren, Adyson Register and Chezney Nye. He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Oldham; parents, Vernon and Frances Oldham. Pallbearers to be assisting in the service are, Noel Jordan, Josh Nye, Berry Kelly, Buddy Morris, Stacey Morris and Jerry McClaren. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM, Tuesday, November 8, 2011 at Marlow Cemetery, Marlow, OK. Services are under the direction of John M. Ireland Funeral Home and Chapel, Moore, OK.
