      Printer Suicides.

      Cincinnati, Jan. 9. - Clarence Oldham, a printer who shot his young wife Sunday at the home of her parents, and then turned the pistol upon himself in pursuance of a threat made previous to New Year's day, died in the City Hospital.

      Oldham was the son of George W. Oldham, of Maysville, Ky., Newspaper man. He had been married less than a month, but his wife, who is only 18 years old, parted from him a few days after the wedding.

      At the time of the shooting Mrs. Oldham's wounds were believed to be the more serious, and it was believed that Oldham would recover. Mrs. Oldham has improved.

      PRINTER SHOT WIFE THEN ATTEMPTED TO KILL HIMSELF

      By Associated Press.

      Cincinnati, Jan.4.--Carrying out a threat made before New Year's day, that the old year would not be dead a week before both he and his wife would die, Clarence Oldham, a printer and son of George W. Oldham, editor of the Public Ledger, in Maysville, Ky., yesterday fired two bullets into the breast of his young wife, Dulcie Oldham, and then sent a leaden missile into his own body above the heart.

      The attempted murder and suicide occurred on the street in front of Mrs. Oldham's home in this city. Both Oldham and his wife are in dangerous condition at the city hospital. The tragedy was a climax of a short but tempestuous domestic life.
