      Exec.Dept. Feb. 4th,1834. The heirs of Samuel Denny are allowed L. B. for his services as a Captain in the Contl. line for three years. John Floyd, Gov.

      Power of Atty. to Ves. Ellis granted by Royston Betts, guardian of Royston, Jr., John, Charles, Thomas, Emmeline, Virginia and Caroline Betts, also power of Atty. granted to Thomas Harvey of Northumberland Co. 15th Jan., 1834.

      Acknowledged before Mathew Lamkin, J. of P. North'nd Co. North'l'nd Co. court 13th Jan., 1834. Certified that Capt.Samuel Denny died intestate, and that no will or copy of an original will has been offered for probate in this court; that Nancy Haynie, Mary Lamkin, Sarah A. Hancock, Washington, Martin, James and Bridgar Haynie; Mary T. Hall, Patsy Nice, Lucy S. Cralle, Priscilla Leland; Royston, Jr., Emeline, Caroline, Virginia, John, Thomas, Charles Betts; and Sally Oldham are the heirs at law of said Samuel Betts. Copy teste, M. B. Cralle.

      At the samecourt, 13jan., 1834. On the motion of Royston Betts, Sr. it is ordered that he be appointed guardian to his children (the names are given as above). Copy teste, M. B. Cralle, Clerk.

      Sally Oldham and Martin Haynie, of Baltimore City appointed Thomas H. Harvey their Atty, 26 Nov., 1833. Signed in the presence of Chas. Kernan, J. of P. Baltimore, Md. Certified as to Chas. Kernan, Thos. Rice, Clerk of Baltimore City Court.

      Power of Atty was given to Thos. H. Harveyby all the other heirs as named above. Signed and acknowledged before Matthew Lamkin, J.of P. Northumberland Co., Jan. 15th, 1834.

      Warrant No.7575 was issued to all of the above named heirs of Saml. Denny, 5 Feb 1834 for 4000 acres of land. Recorded Book 3, page 310.
