    Notes
    • When Reuben was in Camp Morton, did the Oldham family in Fayette County, Indiana know that he was there?

According to Reuben's military file, he was buried in Greenlawn Cemetery, Indianapolis, Marion County, Indiana. Greenlawn Cemetery is an addition to the first cemetery in Indianapolis. It is located 7 blocks southwest of the Circle on the west side of Kentucky Avenue along the White River. This cemetery was destroyed and some of the bodies were moved and reinterred in Crown Hill Cemetery.

An article in the Louisiana Genealogical Journal, Vol 43, pg 122, June 1996, approximately 1600 Confederate Soldiers (prisoners at Camp Morton) were removed from Greenlawn Cemetery and their bodies were placed in Crown Hill Cemetery. Several years ago a marker and plaques were placed in their honor. Among these burials was Reuben Langley, 1st Cav., Tennessee.
