Frances Oldham
Richmond, Ind - Frances Oldham, age 100, of Richmond, died Friday, April 22, 2016, at her home at the Leland Legacy.
Born October 11, 1915, in Henry County, Indiana, to Elmer and Reba L. Mahin Fryman, Frances lived most of her life in Greens Fork, Indiana, and Florida. She was a 1933 graduate of Straughn High School. Frances was a member of First Christian Church and their Women's Fellowship and was active in her church and Bible studies. She canned the display jars for the Ball Brothers Company and worked in the cafeteria at Perfect Circle Corporation in New Castle, Indiana, and at Pollitt's Grocery in Greens Fork. She enjoyed reading, cooking, and playing cards. Frances played the organ and piano by ear. She loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her daughter, Marguerite Mullins of Centerville, Indiana; son, James (Karen) Oldham of Louisville, Kentucky; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; six great-great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Betty Jean Oldham of Richmond; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Marion Oldham, who died on December 11, 1994; son, Lowell Oldham; great-granddaughter, Angela Spears; and son-in-law, Denver Mullins.
Visitation for Frances Oldham will be from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will follow at 12:00 p.m. Monday, April 25, 2016, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Rev. Cindy Ploughe officiating. Burial will be in Greens Fork South Cemetery.
