    • Prichard - Prichard 1915 (M.Johnson) - Oldest child of Daniel and Abiga il Parkhurst Prichard was born in Henry County, Kentucky He came with h is parents to Indiana in 1823, the trip being made in an ox cart, crossi ng the Ohio River where Madison, Indiana is now located. When they reach ed the present site of Edinburg, Indiana, it was a settlement of thr ee or four families. They blazed a road through the heavy timber and ca me west to Nineveh township, and settled on the farm known as the old Durb in Farm about two miles north of Nineveh, Indiana.
      David was married to Cynthia Ann Dunham. He entered at that time t he land on which he lived at the time of his death, which occurred in 188 0. He was the father of five sons, and also raised a foster daughter, Ma ry Minton, taking hen adhe marrie d. Her name at this time is Mrs. Joseph Lipscombe and she lives at Martin sville, Indiana
      During the Mexican War in 1846, David Prichard drilled a company of m ilitia, but was not called to actual service. He received his uniform a nd sword, and the sword he used is now in the possession of his son , Dani el Prichard. He wd aor; was stri ctly upright in all of his dealings.
