We have very little information on Lura's side of the family. We know they moved to Pontiac Michigan and that she had a son, Joseph. That's about all we've been able to find.
Since Mary Alice was a Leonard, I think you may be on the right trace about Rose. It's so funny, the babysitter I had for my children when they were young was named Rose Leonard. but she lived here in Indianapolis.
Had no idea about Lura's great nephew. We visit the Union Cemetery where the old family is buried about once a year. It's a beautiful place. Stephen Oldham donated the land for it and we think the house next door was probably originally Stephen's. The foundation is flagstone and the basement is dirt. We asked the gentleman living there if he knew the history of the property, but he didn't have any idea. Just have to find time to rummage through the Connersville Courthouse.

I don't see how they could have been sisters. Sylvia Mae was born 22 Jul 1900. Sylvia was a sister of Lura Oldham Braddock. Lura was my husband's Aunt. She was his father's favorite sister. We have several pictures of her when she was young.
